A native of Lima, Peru, has more than 25 years of combined playing and coaching experience. He played Lower, Middle and High School, Club soccer as well as semi professional soccer in Peru, South America. He also represented his High School internationally playing in Great Britain. In 2001 he moved to the U.S. to play college soccer for the Newman University Jets, one of the top soccer programs in the nation. He helped the team to a MCAC Conference Championship and a Region IV Runner-up finish.
In 2002 he joined the Newman University coaching staff. Garcia-Bebek spent seven seasons as the assistant men’s soccer coach at Newman University, under the mentoring of Cliff Brown, NU men's soccer head coach. Newman University is an NCAA Div. II institution.
In July of 2009, Victor Garcia-Bebek was hired to guide the Friends University women's soccer program. In the 2009 season head coach Garcia-Bebek accomplished a record of 8-7-4 and a semi final appearance in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). The Lady Falcons soccer team was picked to finish last in the KCAC on media day. The team finished ranked top 20 in the NAIA national rankings in goals against average and number of shootouts.
Victor Garcia-Bebek has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, International Business and a Master in Business Administration with concentration in Leadership. He is also an adjunct professor at Friends University
Garcia-Bebek holds a USSF coaching license. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
